I am really excited to tell you that I sewed the quilt top together and sent it off to Leeanne of Quilt Me Kiwi for quilting. I can't wait to see how she quilts it! Although I am growing in confidence with my quilting, I am not brave enough to quilt a project of this size, my quilt measures a whopping 96" x 96".
As yet, I haven't taken any decent photos of the quilt, but will wait until the whole thing is finished before I bombard you with photos of this quilt. My quilt consists of 16 blocks. I will release these extra patterns before the end of the quilt along.
Two of these extra blocks still need testing, so if anyone would like to do that, please give me a shout.
Would you like me to extend the quilt along to include these extra blocks? Or would you prefer to stick to the current schedule? Please let me know your preference.
This weeks bird is a soaring Buzzard. I must admit that I have a soft spot for the bird of prey blocks in this quilt along.
The pattern comes as a 12 or a 24 inch block.
As usual, I used a combination of Oakshott cotton fabrics from my Colourshott bundle.
You can find the Buzzard Pattern in my Etsy store and my Payhip Store. The Buzzard is available at a reduced price for the first fortnight.
Don't forget to link up your completed blocks to the latest In Flight linky party.
I have enjoyed making the blocks andI'd be up for the extras.
ReplyDeleteIt looks awesome. I'd say extend the QAL just a bit to allow for the new patterns, see how we can work them in :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely extend the QAL. And I am happy to test a pattern for you!
