I made a start to my Christmas makings at the weekend. Its a bit hard to get motivated as we have two birthdays in this household before then, but international postage deadlines mean that I have to be fairly organised.
I decided to take a break from New Zealand birds and try a British one. I love the Robin, such a pretty cheerful hint of colour in the midst of bleak winter.
I THINK that this little guy is going to be turned into a cushion, but I've not made my mind up a hundred percent. The block is 12 inch in size. What would you turn it into?
Incase you are wondering, the pattern is with my pattern testers at the moment. I'll release it as soon as they are finished with it.
This little one is too sweet. I love robins too, very wintry and Christmassy I think :) x
ReplyDeleteHe's gorgeous! I love the robin as a bird, often wonder why the English didn't bring those over along with the sparrows etc; to be honest the robin would have been much nicer than the bullying starling!
ReplyDeleteAwww!!! He's sooo adorable!! :D
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little guy! Can't wait to see everyone's versions.
ReplyDeleteSo Sweet!
ReplyDeleteIt's such a cutie! Cushion would be great, or a table runner? or a wall hanging? Love it x
ReplyDeleteLove :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely! I definitely think cushion - with some sort of cool border.
ReplyDeleteOh he's so cute. I agree with Megan on a cushion. What a lovely pressie!
ReplyDeleteLove it!!
ReplyDeleteThe Robin is our state (Michigan) bird. I would make it into a cushion, pillow, or add some borders and make placemats.
