Sometimes it takes all the discipline that you possess to actually finish your ongoing projects before starting on the new and exciting ones.
While I was recharging myself on holiday in Golden Bay, I dreamt up all sorts of new and exciting patterns and projects.
I came home raring to go, wanting to jump into these new projects with both feet.
But...
I've been a good girl (for a change!)
The boredom is KILLING me, but first I am finishing the knitted jumper that I started for Mr Tartankiwi last year. The colour is dull, the knitting was uninspiring and the sewing together is painfully tedious.
I'm on the final stretch now and I can't wait to finish.
The end of this project cannot come too soon!!!
After that, I've got a quilt to finish. I love this quilt, so I really shouldn't complain.
To be honest I tend to enjoy hand stitching binding on, but this time, I just want to do other stuff.
I'm really really hoping that I have a few finishes to show you soon... Keep your fingers crossed that I don't pass away from the boredom before they are finished though!
gosh, I have all sorts of these little finishing things about the place too :) I try and do one a week, but the pile still doesn't seem to get any smaller? xx
ReplyDeleteIt always amazes me that clever crafty people like yourself always have so many things you're working on...I am in awe!
ReplyDeleteI so hear you - I hate that final push when my heart and head are already in another project!
ReplyDeleteI am with you on this one - however - I am actually getting somewhere and last week finished a lot of projects and am quite pleased with myself .. .. .. upside of hibernating I guess
ReplyDeleteHehe, you are being a good girl :D
ReplyDeletevery good girl! hope the hubby loves it even though it's been a bit painful to complete! I'm the same with my latest rug, i just can't be bothered in my few minutes of freedom to work on it, i'd rather do something quick and satisfying. but unlike you i've put it away in a cupboard so i don't have to look at it and feel guilty every day!
ReplyDeleteYay, I hope to finish off some projects this weekend which means even getting out the sewing machine LOL
ReplyDeleteWell done you! I'm also forcing myself to do some things I have to get done within a timeframe... before I will reward myself by doing the things I really want to! I hope the desire stays strong! Looking forward to seeing the finished projects!
ReplyDeleteHang in there...I totally get how tedious that would be, especially since the colour would make it difficult to see the stitches....or maybe that's just me with my eyesight starting to get worse?
ReplyDeleteThis is a post for me! I need encouraging to finish off some projects before I get to some exciting ones :) I'm trying but it's not much fun.
