Top of that list is a husband who walked away from a 100km/h crash virtually unscathed... I'll say it again, I am super super grateful for seatbelts, airbags and the quality driving lessons that he received in the Netherlands which taught him how to react in an emergency.
Thank you so much for all your kind messages on my last post.
Mr Tartankiwi spent one night in hospital and was allowed to come home the next day. He is sore and aching, but is doing fine as long as me moves slowly, cautiously and doesn't overdo it. He even dared to go behind the wheel yesterday and drive the very short distance to the shops (baby steps!).
Rascal is in a fragile and pensive mood. She is worried about her Dad and doesn't like the fact that he is a "little bit broken" but we are doing our best to persuade her that if she gives him lots of hugs and kisses he will get fixed a lot quicker.
We have been blown away by the kindness shown to us in these last few days.
Kind neighbours who drop everything to come and babysit for the kids.
Amazing friends who cook dinner; others who send a goodie bag packed with icecream, chocolate, biscuits and other of lifes essentials(!) and the many many people who have offered any kind of assistance that we may need.
It means a lot- no it really really does!
Finally, thank you so so much to these three lovely ladies who felt sorry for Mr Tartankiwi waking up in hospital on his birthday (after a night of having been woken every 2 hours). My cake baking duties were somewhat interrupted by hospital visits so on his birthday he blew out a candle on his icecream and sprinkles.
Look what was delivered the very next morning... sooooo good!
If you are ever in any doubt about the strength of blogging friendships, can I just mention that all of these people who were there to support us (with the obvious exception of our neighbour) are people that I have met directly or indirectly through blogging...
Bloggers are THE BEST!!!
Thank you for being there my friends!
