With Nin's Scrap Bag Swap in full swing, my mind has turned to scraps and the various ways that you can use them up. I love scraps and try to use even the smallest ones.
Yesterday I was very proud of myself as I used some ultra small but very cute scraps. You see, I love the effect of fussy cutting fabrics for my quilt blocks, but I hate the fabric wastage that it often causes.
As I was cutting into my awesome nursey versery fabric, fussy cutting hexies for a cushion that I am going to make for Rascal, I noticed some of the cute wee mice which were being cut off and would be too small to use in any serious sewing projects. It made me sad to think that they would just go in the bin, so I hatched a plan...
What do you think? I was rather proud of them!
I know exactly who is getting one of them, the other will be added to the present cupboard for those moments when you need a spontaneous present.
I'm sort of hoping that I might have a few more of these teensy tinyscraps!
