You see I wanted to make a special block for Leonie.
So I searched the net looking for something suitable... I found nothing.
I looked in books... I found nothing.
Then I went on holiday and when I returned I kept myself busy doing other things, but it remained in the back of my mind.
Finally I decided that I needed to get to work. So I sat down behind the computer and designed a block using her requested colours (pink, yellow, green and blue). Knowing that Leonie's blocks are destined to be turned into a quilt for her daughter, I decided that I'd design a block to make a little girl smile. I couldn't think of anything better than a butterfly...
What do you think?
Will she love it?
The block flew together and I was super excited by it, so I took a photo of it immediately for my blog. It was only as I was getting the photo ready to post on here that I realised that I had made not one but two mistakes (grrr!)
Luckily they were both fairly easy to fix.
If anyone is interested in giving this pattern a go, they are welcome to pattern test it for me. Just let me know in a comment and I'll choose someone.
P.S. Last chance to enter my giveaway- I'll be closing the draw in 5 hours!
Edited to add: The butterfly pattern is now available. For more details go here
