When I initially saw the circle of geese block a few short weeks ago, I never dreamed that I would be able to sew one. Well here is proof that you should never say never! I LOVE it and I am proud to say that there was a very very minimal amount of unpicking required during the sewing of this block!
I used this pattern, and again referred to the great paper piecing tips from here.
This was definitely smoother sailing than my first paper pieced block as I dared to trust my ability and cut everything before sewing rather than as I was going along. I sewed the first quarter just to test that everything was ok and then I went ahead and did the remaining three quarters at the same time- a far more efficient way to work!
I just realised that I forgot to mention that I have signed up for round two of Cat's 3 x 6 Modern Sampler Bee. This time there will be two groups taking part. My group consists of Cat, Leonie, Nin, Kelli, Debra and Sharon.
I can't wait to see what these talented women come up with and I am looking forward to adding their blocks to my quilt with pride! I've just got to decide what I want to make this time round- its difficult narrowing down the possibilities!
Not much change to the collage this week, but here it is again...
Oh and before you go... Have you entered my giveaway?
I'm linking up with Lee and all the other talented quilters over at Freshly Pieced
