My foray into quilting has left me with a couple of spare quilt blocks. Unwilling to throw them out and unable to use them in my quilt, I had to think of something else to do with them.
The obvious options were to turn them into either a cushion or a bag.
I really liked the idea of a bag, so set about making one.
Always trying to learn new things, I decided to try my hand at a bit of hand quilting. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out and it makes me tempted to do at least some hand quilting on the finished quilt.
I love how it turned out. What do you think?
I thought about zip pockets on the inside, but in the end just put in two small pockets. Its not that big a bag, it doesn't need lots of complicated pockets.
