Now that I have conquered my initial fear of making dresses for Rascal, there's no stopping me!
I tried a different style this time, a bit less smart and I LOVE it!
The main fabric was donated by Nin during her fabric destash. The contrast fabric was bought for 40% off in a sale and the buttons are covered buttons that I made. Exact cost of this project unknown, but definitely not expensive!
I love how the details make it look more professional. The double seams (even if they are a bit wonky in places), the cute pocket and the lined bodice.
Will I be making more dresses using this tutorial?- you bet!
I'd love to have a go at the shortalls as well, but I am not sure about them for Rascal and I'd want poppers between the legs for Wee Man - I don't think I've got the skills to make that sort of alterations... yet!
What a cute dress for Rascal!
ReplyDeleteSadly my daughter is 22!! but she would have loved this at Rascal's age!
I love love love it - my eldest loves skirts and dresses so this is going on the list to make! Well done you!

ReplyDeleteCute little dress and lovely fabric...
ReplyDeleteLove the fabric and the whole dress, a delight.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dress! I wish I'd gotten back into my sewing when my girls were that little - it's hard staring now when they're much pickier with what they wear! or rather they choose their clothes not me!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to a Round Tuit!
Hope you have a fabulous week!
