Last year, I came across the ideas of Christmas pyjamas. A pair of child's pyjamas that are wrapped up under the tree and handed over on Christmas Eve.
It seemed like such a great idea, I could just see our little family sitting round the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve, perhaps eating some yummy snacks with the children in their pyjamas while we read Christmas stories and sing Christmas carols.
These are the pyjamas that I made for Rascal. The pyjama shorts were based on a largish pair of shorts that Rascal owns. The t-shirt was $4 from K-mart and I have added a few random appliqué butterflies.
Quick, pretty and very very easy... I might have to make some more!

ReplyDeletethat is such an awesome idea, I love hearing about special traditions other families do over Christmas :)
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of Christmas pjs!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. Think I might have to steal it! Fingers crossed the material I ordered from the us arrives before Xmas!
ReplyDeleteYay - I have such happy memories of the Christmas Eve pajamas tradition from when I was a child (in fact, I still buy myself pjs for Christmas Eve as an adult!) - it's one of my favourite traditions. So cool that you are sewing them too :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this idea! What fun! Now that I've conquered my first sewing challenge maybe I can add these to the list :) Thanks for your comment! x

totally gorgeous! And I have some of that fabric around somewhere left over from a quilt I made with it. Hmmm.... :)
ReplyDeleteI love traditions and thats a great one, cute PJs.
ReplyDeleteI was planning to start that this year too!! I just need to get some cheap t-shirts and make the bottoms....oh I do have the fabric so that is something!
ReplyDeleteLove the PJs, and particularly the applique! Santa always seems to bring new pyjamas when he's filling the stockings in our house, although I think I like the hand-made tradition better!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea and I love the jim jams too.........
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping over to mine and commenting, lovely to hear from you.

ReplyDeleteAWESOME! I was going to do that for all the kids this year (nieces and nephews too...) but morning sickness canned that thought. I love the ones you did for Rascal, complete with the little cuff at the bottom. Really Sweet! :)
