It was a nice simple pattern, which I followed carefully except a bit of a mistake at the neck.
As a result, I ended up having to unravel and re-knit the neck (grrrr!). I am proud to report that this led to me finally learning how to successfully unravel knitting without dropping stitches. So now if I make a mistake I don't have to return to the very beginning of a project any more (this is MAJOR progress for me!!!!).
I am kicking myself that I didn't add some extra length to the body as its a wee bit on the short side, but I didn't have the confidence to muck around with the pattern on my first major knitting project.

Please excuse the birdsnest hair! I didn't have the energy for that fight! |
I am proud to say that it does actually fits Rascal (just!) and she LOVES it!
I think that I have caught the knitting bug... I'm busy browsing for more wool (in the sales of course) and new patterns to try. My children certainly won't be cold next winter!!!

Well done, you have done a great job.... if I hadn't been following your blog, I wouldn't have been able to tell it was your first completed jumper! Perfect gender neutral colour too, it will look just as lovely on your wee man :)
