Rascal was given the CD and book for her first birthday and over the last year and a half or so, all the members of this house who can speak have learnt it off my heart.
The story is about three little owls who find themselves alone in their nest and it describes their anxious wait until the Owl Mother return.
Our favourite passage of the book is this
It was dark in the wood and they had to be brave, for things moved all around them.
"She'll bring us mice and things that are nice" said Sarah,
"I suppose so" said Percy
"I want my Mummy!" said Bill
Now, why am I telling you this?
Well, recently every time that Rascal sees that its dark outside or enters a darkened room, she says "its dark in the wood!" She says it WITHOUT fail! It makes me smile every time that I hear it!
Oops! Almost forgot to say that I am linking up with Paisley Jade as usual! Please hop on over and see what other people are loving this week...
How cute!
