A couple of my friends are expecting baby girls any day and I have been trying to get my act together to make little baby gifts for them.
I still haven't made any gifts, but what I have managed to do is make some cards. I found this tutorial and decided that it would be perfect.
I had a little play when making the nappies, so I used interfacing on the fabric for a couple and used a few of stitches to hold the nappy together instead of glue. Not convinced that these changes were improvements (the nappies became quite bulky due to the interfacing) but I am still more than happy with them.
Unfortunately very few pens actually write well on this card. I should have been patient and gone and bought a gold or silver marker pen. I was too impatient and went ahead with my big black pen... This is the aspect of the cards that I am least happy with. Ah well, I'll do it better when I make boy cards.
cute cards :)
