I have had many comments over the last few weeks about how great the fabric that I've used for the buttercup bags is. It has been great to work with, but I've got a problem.
I have a decent sized piece of the fabric left(probably roughly 40cm x 40cm). Its not big enough to make another bag and its too big to fritter away on coin purses. I can't decide what to do with it.
Any ideas? All inspiration welcome...
Well if you can find a matching red, I would cut out a front bodice of a dress, ( so the white medallion was centered ) and then use the matching red to create the back bodice and the skirt of the dress something like this dress

then if you have any left over you could make a matching head band :)

ReplyDeletei enlarged the whale pattern and it came out really cool... :)
Or a little cushion..40cm square would just be enough..with a plain red or calico backing..or even 35cm??
ReplyDeleteHow bout an oven mit? I always like a splash of red in the kitchen. or a doorstop! =)

ReplyDeleteCould you use the medallion as a centre piece and use the rest, along with other fabrics, in a sort of log cabin pattern?
