Thank you everyone for the kind birthday wishes. I had a fun, low key birthday with my family. The highlight was probably Rascal's delight at helping me blow out the candles on the cake and then watching the chocolatey grin appear on her face as she wolfed it down! This ritual has been repeated every evening since Saturday and the novelty value has not worn off (for either of us).
This weeks creation for Tea Towel Tuesday is a tote bag. When I saw this tea towel, I immediately knew what I wanted to make with it. I used this tutorial from CurlyPops Blog. After I had bought all the necessary bits and pieces for the bag, I must admit that I almost got cold feet and didn't make it. I am glad that I went ahead anyway as I am really pleased with the finished article.
This bag is the first Pay it Forward gift that I have sent. Katie over at Mummy Adventures is the lucky recipient. As she is another Brit who has adopted New Zealand as her home, I thought the paisley kiwis would be appropriate for her. She loves it!
If you like what you see and would like to receive something handmade from me, just follow the instructions on the original Pay it Forward post and I will send you something lovely. (I still have 3 spots available). Everyone will get something different so there is no saying what the next gift will be!
Love it!
