I really really try to avoid collecting plastic bags and always have an envirosax with me, yet somehow the drawer where we store plastic bags seems to slowly fills up until it is so full that it jams. I suspect that it may have something to do with the fact that I now have a toddler and a baby to distract me when shopping and before I know it I am being handed a plastic bag full of my purchases by a helpful shop assistant (I REALLY wish they would ask if you want a bag like they do in other countries!)
So this week I am making a plastic bag holder for Tea Towel Tuesday. I chose this tea towel for the project. It is relatively small and the fabric is a tighter weave than some tea towels:

Awesome. These are so good for keeping things together. I love the design on the tea towel too
ReplyDeleteI already have one of these made by by mother-in-law and it's so useful.
ReplyDeleteIncidentally I was shopping last week and I saw a really pretty pack of tea towels and immediately thought of your Tea Towel Tuesdays. I just need to decide what to make them into now!
Mags- Glad to have inspired you! Look forward to seeing what you come up with.
ReplyDeleteGreat project this week, so useful and enviro caring, keeping us organised so we have more time for our life :)
ReplyDeleteI need one of those. So much better than the plastic storage you see around!
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful creation and what a great idea; so practical. Thanks for sharing..
ReplyDeleteFab idea and the tea towel looks so good in that shape :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm not very crafty or talented at sewing, but would love to make one of these. Can you tell me a little bit more how you sewed this?
