Today I honoured the people of  Christchurch in a small way.

I acknowledged the acts of BRAVERY that have taken place over the last few months

I recognised the BRAVERY that some people display just by carrying on with their daily life.

I hope that I was able to help make somebody smile in the process. In the midst of Christchurch's darkest days, there are still a multitude of ways to make people smile. Even the smallest act of kindness can have enormous effects.

This post documents the "release" of one of the 1000 homes of Happiness

(sorry for the rubbish photos, I was very frustrated with myself when I got home and discovered that I had used the wrong camera settings... My photography is not normally this bad... I promise!...)

  1. what a beautifully heartfelt gesture, and the pics are fine.

  2. Kia Kaha Christchurch xxx with loads of love from Auckland xxx

  3. What a lovely heartfelt post.

  4. Such a thoughtful gesture. Lovely post.

  5. oh my, this is beautiful. Such an appropriate little word on this special home. Your photographs show the devastation.

I hope this little home will be found and bring a smile to someones face.

Thankyou for taking part. We will link back to here and add this home to our tally soon.

  6. What a lovely idea :-) I don't know what's going on in the world right now, so much devastation, both natural and manmade :-(

I cam via Blow Your Own Bloghorn by the way x

  7. Oh wow, that's really lovely.

  8. This is beautiful, and you're right - the smallest acts of kindness can make huge differences - thanks for a thought-provoking post.

  9. I was amazed at some of the stories of bravery that came out of such a heartbreaking time for NZ. Fingers crossed someone finds this wild house and it does connect them and remind them we are all still thinking of you.

  10. Loved seeing this little home in the newspaper over the weekend!
