Ummmmm... No... A pair of dirty dish rags!!!
Ok, you got me, they're not dirty, but they are tea towels!
This weeks toddler size trousers were made using a pair of matching tea towels from the Warehouse. I am afraid that I forgot to take a "before" picture, but here is a photo of the third tea towel that came in the pack (recognise the stripes anyone?)
In general I am pretty pleased with my first effort at making clothes for one of my children. That said, I have to admit that I chose the wrong pair of trousers as a template and as such these will only fit Rascal properly once she is toilet trained. I am pleased with the way that they look and at $7.99 for the pack of three tea towels this means that the trousers come in at approximately $5.50 total.
So what have you all been up to? Anybody else got a tea towel creations? I'm afraid that I don't have a linky thing, but post about your creation in the comments and I promise to come visit.
Just catching up on some blog posts now. Love the trousers and well done with the zip!
ReplyDeleteAlso THANK YOU so much for my wee pay it forward parcel! I LOVE IT! Will be blogging some pictures very soon :-)
Awesome trousers. I have the same pack of tea towels except in blue. I had originally intended using them for sewing but DP kidnapped them for the kitchen.
