IN FLIGHT- Block 3- Seagull

Before we move onto this week's block, I wanted to do a wee bit of housekeeping- an announcement and a question.

First the Announcement:

The winner of the first Colourshott 5" Sq Charm Pack and Tartankiwi patterns as chosen by random.org is Shiraz and Sewing.

Congratulations!
Please get in touch and I'll get  your prize sent out to you as soon as possible.

(who says that number 1 never wins!)

 My question is this:

Would you prefer if I post the next linky immediately so that you can post your blocks as and when you finish them?

I just had a quick look on the Tartankiwi Flickr group and saw a whole lot of In Flight blocks which had not been entered in the linky and thus were not eligible for the Oakshott Prize. A thousand apologies for not having looked sooner and thus not reminding you to enter. The group does not send me a notification when new items are posted so I must admit that I tend to forget to check it- I promise to look more often in the future! So far I've only had a very brief look at the flickr blocks, but I'm looking forward to sitting down properly to look at all the beautiful work that you have done- there are some real beauties!

If you didn't enter the first linky, don't worry, there are still lots of opportunities to win yourselves some prizes.

This weeks block is the seagull.

For those of you who bought the pattern bundle, you have a choice this week. You can sew the block 3 seagull; you can sew the bonus seagull pattern or your can do them both! It's up to you!

I chose to use two shades of Oakshott cotton for my block. I love the way that it adds a tiny bit of extra detail to an otherwise simple design.

You can find the Seagull block in my Payhip store and my Etsy store. Remember, it will be reduced in price for the first fortnight.

I have not yet had a chance to sew the bonus seagull myself and am as yet undecided how to include it in the quilt but I'm thinking that I may reduce it in size slightly and include it in one of the open spaces of the quilt.

As always, I look forward to seeing your blocks.

I love your comments and do my best to answer them.

Sorry, I have decided to disallow anonymous comments again, the spam was getting a bit too annoying. If you want to contact me, feel free to email, there is a link in the sidebar.
