Toucan Can- A Paper Pieced Pattern

I had lots of fun turning Toucan into a quilt block. In fact my biggest problem was that Sarah Davis created so many inspiring images in the book Toucan Can that it was difficult to choose just one to work from!

I have been working on this pattern for a little while but I wanted to keep it under wraps until I was completely ready to blog about it, so I quietly asked my good friend Leonie to test the pattern for me. As always she did a great job for me.

The Toucan Can pattern is available from my Craftsy store. As with all my patterns, it is assumed that you already know how to paper piece. The good news is that its a freebie and will always stay that way.

If you are curious about the book Toucan Can after these posts, but can't get your hands on a copy, the good news is that I've just discovered that its available as an ebook from Amazon.

Don't forget to check out the other books that are nominated in the New Zealand Post Book Awards for Children and Young Adults

Now, if you love the character of Toucan, but can't paper piece, or if you love it but just don't have the time to sew your own one, never fear! I'll be giving away a Toucan cushion cover in the next few days. It will hopefully be before the end of the week, but it may end up being early next week, it just depends how much time I can find for blogging.

Sorry for keeping you in suspense, but it'll be worth the wait (I promise!)

I love your comments and do my best to answer them.

Sorry, I have decided to disallow anonymous comments again, the spam was getting a bit too annoying. If you want to contact me, feel free to email, there is a link in the sidebar.
