I'm loving...

My Dad's return to Scotland has meant that these last couple of days have been filled with more than their fair share of  tears for me. It is at times like this that we need to remember the joy, love and beauty that surround us all. In the words of Paisley Jade:

I wholeheartedly believe that no matter what is happening in your life, there is always something that you can be thankful for... no matter how simple it is.

With this in mind, I would like to dedicate this post to my amazing father, who travelled half way round the world to meet his new grandson.

... who played with Rascal; hungs nappies on the washing line; made me cups of the tea and brought me my lunch when I was stuck on the sofa breastfeeding.

... who brought an absolute minimum of clothing in his luggage so that he had room to bring presents for the wee man... as well as this...
A Dolls Pushchair

and this...
Baby Dragon Puppet

and this...
Queen Puppet

and this...
Pierrot Puppet

and this...
Boy Puppet

They all belonged to me when I was younger, so I refuse to call them vintage toys (I'm not THAT OLD!).

The pushchair has already been gratefully received by Rascal who races around pushing her doll Yo Baby in it. (Incidentally, Yo Baby got her name because on Christmas Day when we gave her to Rascal we said "is that YOUR BABY" a few too many times. The name stuck!).

Rascal will have to wait a few years to get the puppets (which are in pretty immaculate condition and all still have their original boxes and instructions). My brother, sister and I had such fun making up puppet plays and performing them when we were little. I hope that Rascal and Wee Man can gain the same level of enjoyment from the puppets that we did.

LOVE YOU DAD! Thanks for everything.

If I can work out how to do it, I will be joining in with Paisley Jade's linky party. Pop on over and see what other people are loving...

  2. Hugs! Those puppets are neat and so cool that you have something from your childhood to pass down to your own children.
